DIY recipe - Wood/Furniture Polish

Over the past year we have been taking our health and wellness more seriously and making healthier choices as a family.  I've been switching out cleaning products for healthier options and I've found in the process that I really love DIY's.
Making many of our cleaning products myself is fun and I love knowing that what I'm using is safe for us. Also, my kids can help me clean without me having to worry.  I mean seriously, have you guys ever really read the warning labels on traditional cleaning supplies on the market?
Today I want to share with you my recipe for homemade toxin-free wood/furniture polish. The great thing about this recipe is not only the chemical free factor, but also the great results!
You know how traditional furniture polish leaves your surfaces feeling and looking kind of greasy? Not with this. This recipe will leave your furniture with a subtle shine and a soft and smooth feel.
We love the rustic woodwork throughout our farmhouse, and we didn't want the super glossy wood look. Still yet, we needed a way to protect it and this has been working like a charm!
Now on to the ingredients.  This is what you will need and why you need it!
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 tsp. vegetable glycerin
10-15 drops Pine essential oil
2 capfuls Thieves Cleaner
8 ounce glass spray bottle
Combine all the ingredients and pour in to your spray bottle.  Shake before each use.  Spray lightly on the surface you wish to shine, and gently wipe clean with a dry cloth.  That's it.
Here's a breakdown of how each ingredient works in this recipe.
Olive oil  (Wal-Mart) - adds moisture and protects the wood surface.
Vinegar (Wal-Mart) - helps cut through grease and grime.
Vegetable Glycerin (Wal-Mart in the first aid section) - helps with the shine factor and helps the shine stay longer in between cleanings.
Thieves cleaner (Young Living) - for an extra cleaning boost.  Read more here.
Pine essential oil (Young Living) - to make your cleaner smell great!  I chose Pine, but you can choose any scent you like.  Lavender would be nice too! I cashed in rewards points and got my Pine for free - one of the perks to a wholesale membership!
If you try it out, I'd love to hear your thoughts!  Thanks for stopping by!
Have a BLESSED day!
