About Me

Hello there & welcome to my blog. I'm Leah, wife to my amazing husband, Roby, and mom to our two beautiful kids.  My faith, my family, & our home is where my passion lies. I've learned through my journey of being a wife and mom, the importance of a comfortable, loving, and welcoming home.

We wives and moms have a lot of influence when it comes to setting the mood in our homes, a gift that we shouldn't take lightly!  I will tell you though it took some time for me to let go of the idea that my home needed to be perfect before I could invite others in. While I still have a ways to go and much to improve on, I've learned, through much prayer and guidance that only God could provide, to count my blessings, embrace the imperfections, & simply enjoy the place we call home & share that joy with others!

When I first discovered blogs I had a difficult time finding a home on a blog that I could relate to.  Everything seemed so grand and fancy, and while beautiful, I often times left feeling unmotivated by our simple, modest home, rather than inspired.  I started this blog as an outlet for me to share my love of homemaking & thrifty decor in hopes of inspiring others who want to do the same.  No matter what kind of home or budget you have, you can create a welcoming, nurturing, & loving home.

So, now you know I'm a budget friendly decorator!  I love to re-purpose anything I can. Thrift stores & yard sales have become my favorite places to shop! It's amazing what a little paint will do!

We were blessed with the opportunity to purchase our very own farm which was an absolute dream come true for us. I'm still on the journey of fixing up our farmhouse, and I probably will be for a while! While it has been a ton of work, it has been such a joy to breathe new life into our home!

While visiting this blog, my hope is that you will be inspired & encouraged to create a home that you love as well! You can visit my Project Gallery where you will find links to  inexpensive projects & inspiration to help you get started turning your house into a home on a budget! Remember, never underestimate the power of faith, paint, & hard work!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

God Bless,

  1. I love everything about your home and your blog! My home is being renovated right now after Hurricane Harvey and I am super excited to be “starting over”. After 30 years in our home I can begin anew with a cute style that represents us. I want everyone who comes in to feel comfortable and cozy. Your style says that! I look forward to getting inspiration from you!

    1. Thank you so much! I can't imagine what you've been through. I admire your positive attitude and your excitement to start again, creating a cozy home for your family. XO, Leah
